Allisun has compassion for all people and creates safe environments for connections that heal. They love meeting new people and working with them to explore what makes them shine. We all have stories and experiences that influence who we are and how we relate to the world. Life happens and can make us feel stuck so Allisun practices accompanying those who are hurting as they become empowered to create the changes necessary to find peace both inwardly and outwardly. She uses mindfulness and a client-centered approach with the intention of healing from trauma and move away from a world centered on systemic violence. In addition to therapy, Allisun shares his love of yoga and meditation with the community, offering sessions to clients who are interested and can usually be found journaling or reading in their free-time. Allisun enjoys working with families and in partnership with students from schools in the twin cities. They have had years of experience working with young people in many different capacities which has allowed for play-therapy to come naturally in sessions with families and children. Allisun believes in fortifying the client’s constellation of supportive loved ones in order to see health bloom out of mucky waters. They celebrate and teach the importance of enhancing one’s self-awareness in order to know vibrancy in our lives together.

Anissa is the founder and owner of Arubah. Anissa desires to help guide individuals and families into a space of healing, and specifically wanted to provide support to the people that were least likely to receive the services. Anissa believes that through relationship and with love people can be fully restored after any challenges they are met with in life. Anissa loves spending time with her five children, is very involved in church activities and enjoys reading. She completed her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. She is approved with Minnesota Licensing Boards to supervise those seeking licensure as an LPC, LPCC, LICSW and LMFT. Anissa brings the concepts of Love and Restoration into all of her work, understanding that God embodies the perfect definition of Love and He restores. She embraces the fact that she is simply a vessel to assist in facilitating the process of healing.

Cindy (she/her) provides a collaborative healing environment to help a client learn to seek balance and healthy coping so she/he/they can reach their highest potential. Cindy's goal is to help clients listen to their inner wisdom rather than the external or internal noise that interferes with a life worth living. Cindy received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. Her master's degree in Counseling and Psychological Services is from the University of St. Mary's. She completed her internship at Domestic Abuse Project where he conducted groups for women and children. For 10 years she worked in a day treatment program that focused on coping with serious and persistent mental illness that included DBT skills training groups. Her current outpatient practice is individual therapy. Her clinical areas of interest include: depression, anxiety, bipolar illness, borderline personality disorder, domestic abuse. adjustment and interpersonal difficulties. She complete intensive training in DBT and integrative medicine for mental health. Her joys outside of her practice include opening her home to friends and family visits, knitting and crocheting, reading and listening to podcasts.

Devon is a therapist who values the client as the expert of their own lives. They find that the foundation of effective therapeutic work is a shared connection as humans leading to trust being fostered to create a safe space for processing. She holds compassion with her clients from her own lived experiences and finds this work important in helping others help themselves. In session you can expect Devon to be authentic, which includes thoughtfully challenging clients to grow and heal. They will collaborate with the client to find the root issue to then assess how behaviors, thoughts, and symptoms are related and where to start clients’ journeys of self-acceptance. She is not here to change or shame clients, but to facilitate a non-judgmental space for self-exploration, self-acceptance, and ultimately self-love. They earned their Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Welfare, hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and are licensed by the state of Minnesota. She enjoys working on jigsaw puzzles, reading, and playing video games during her free time.

Huda found her calling in social work and psychotherapy after witnessing the profound impact of mental illness within her immigrant community and family. Confronted with the lack of cultural competency and empathy in existing care systems; she recognized how stigma allowed suffering to fester, leaving many too afraid and ashamed to seek help. Driven by a desire to be a familiar and compassionate presence for those navigating their struggles, Huda specializes in relational therapy, guiding clients to understand their attachment styles and heal from traumatic wounds. Her work is fueled by the joy of witnessing personal transformations and fostering safe, caring relationships across diverse backgrounds. Core to her therapeutic approach are values of partnership, mutual care, and shared healing, as she helps clients cultivate self-compassion amidst their challenges. Jenny is a therapist who believes in the power of compassionate connection. Her passion for this work rests on the belief that we are joined together in our human experience and that therapy can be a place to learn more about the challenges we face as well as the contributions we have to offer. She believes that clients are the experts of their own lives and that her role as a therapist is to provide a space where people feel heard, valued and supported to make the changes that they seek. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Psychology and a Masters Degree in Social Work, both from the University of Minnesota. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of direct practice experience. Jenny has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and has also been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Clinical areas of interest include: trauma, depression, dissociative disorders, borderline personality disorder, transracial adoption. In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time outside and hanging out with her family.

Katie is a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated professional, hoping to help individuals find healing and transformation. She holds a Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, along with a BFA in photography and many years of studio art practice. Her approach to counseling is non-hierarchical and gravitates towards nondirective and person-centered modalities. She views her role as offering people witness, support, regulation, care, and tending so they can embark on a journey to heal. Then, she can celebrate their healing with them as a facet of their strength and determination, not something she has done, but something done together. The core of her practice is a deep belief that with support, healing is possible.

Art and creativity deeply inform Katie’s counseling and are fundamental to how she works with clients and as she conceptualizes their care. As a mental health counselor, she aims to help others release self-sabotage and empower themselves within their lives. She hopes to help others overcome disempowering narratives and guide them to a healthier, heart-centered place. She continues to apprentice herself to a style of therapy that is about radical acceptance and surrender to what is instead of change or achievement. When Katie is not working as a therapist, she may be hiking, camping, weightlifting, creating art, writing poetry, or spending time with family and friends.

Kyla is a compassionate laid back therapist, who believes life is a journey of many highs and lows, it gets heavy, cloudy, exhausting and confusing. I consider it a privilege to walk and sit in your spaces as you navigate through life and all its unique rewards, circumstances and challenges. She has worked with elders, adults, adolescents and children from various demographics. Her goal is for people to be able to walk into the space with her and feel like they can put the bags down and as though the weight of what burdens them is lifted even just a little. She is passionate about meeting people where they are and building on it together using humor, strengths and attainable solutions to improve the quality of life. Kyla draws from Experiential, CBT, Collaborative, Psychoeducation, Solution-Focused and Trauma-Informed techniques in her work. Kyla utilizes a global and systemic to helping people build a healthy quality relationship with themselves, build healthy, strong and quality relationships with others and assisting them in finding tools to utilize when navigating hardships and life challenges. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor is Social Welfare from the St. Catherine’s University and a Master’s degree from St. Mary’s University. Kyla is currently pre-licensed and working towards her full licensure in Marriage & Family Therapy. On her off time you can find her being active outdoors, checking out the new restaurants or spending time with her friends and family.

Quaquilla -- "Q" -- believes it is a privilege to work with individuals seeking a better quality of life. She collaborates with clients as they process life's challenges and transitions, recognizing they are experts in their own lives. She provides listening, support, and guidance for clients to achieve the healing that they want through self-empowerment.

Q utilizes not only an interpersonal psychodynamic approach with clients but also a strengths perspective in the spirit of motivational interviewing, grounded in a biopsychosocial model of healing. She keeps
in the forefront of her practice the belief that we are all human beings and the Transtheoretical Model of the stages of change -- precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and relapse - are ever present in relationships. Having worked with clients seeking asylum this past summer as an intern, Q is excited to be working at Arubah Emotional Health.

Q will graduate with a master's in social work degree from the University of Minnesota in May 2026. She is also working toward full licensure in clinical counseling. She already has a PhD in communication studies, having previously taught at the university level.

Her first name, Quaquilla, is her paternal grandmother's Cherokee name, but she is also of English and Slavic descent. She has an adult daughter and a stepson, both of whom work in clinical therapy settings. She presently lives with her kitty, Rusty, and enjoys hiking and boating. Tynessia holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of MN - Twin Cities. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Tynessia specializes in harm reduction/risk reduction, strength-based, solution-focused, trauma-informed, and person-centered care. Tynessia is trained in AIRNetwork, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and is currently being trained in sex therapy.
